I'm sure he would be touched to know not only how well thought of he was here, but that his presence was missed and that someone made an effort to seek him out. There's a lot of good words above about him, who has passed, so I thought I'd offer some good words about the living here as well. Props to that.

Oh no. For some reason I've been overlooking this thread...that's awful news. RIP friend.

A couple others mentioned making arrangements to have someone post if they passed on; I'm going to look into that myself. Life is short.

Well, gosh, that's just really sad.

@Kandinskyesque Well done on this - both spotting it in the first place and drawing it to our attention, and drafting something to go to the family.

Can't quite believe it. He was a lovely presence on here, bless him.

Never met the man in person, but am quite emotional. Strange, the strength of connections you develop on here. That's just really sad.

This is very sad news, losing one of us. I'd never met or spoken to him but I always looked forward to his posts. R.I. P. No Jazz, you will be missed...

Blowtorch, I have come to appreciate you. Sincerely. There are posts of yours that I strongly agree with, so I do have to appreciate you.
Chester, while I do appreciate that, my comment was more directed towards the people in everyone's actual non-virtual lives. Not that everyone needs a medal or a trophy but too often we let things go unsaid and good solid people can end up feeling undervalued and underappreciated

having said that, I do appreciate plenty of folks here, too, even the ones I don't always agree with

This is the second TDP death I'm learning about today and it's eating me up a bit.

I always enjoyed reading NoJazz's contributions and I'll miss his company.

I guess this is the hard part of having such a large and active community. Many of us have "known" each other for 15-20 years. Sad to see them go, but that's the way of it.
