i have a danelectro with a broken neck. would i be able to put a tele neck on it?
The most important piece of info you'd need to know is the scale length of the current neck vs. the scale length of the neck you want to put on. Measure the distance from the front edge of the nut (the side where the strings enter) to the middle of the 12th fret. Double that distance and you have the scale length.
Why not fix the Dano neck?
Most, maybe all standard Dano's have a 25 inch scale length and little adjustment for intonation at the bridge so it's likely not a bolt on mod. I'd say fix the neck if you can, buy a used one (eBay or CL) or you could have a custom neck made. If you go the last route just make sure the builder knows what you're doing.
What model Dano is it and how exactly is the neck broken?
