That guitar is a looker for sure.

    Congrats on the new guitar.

I KNOW I'll never ever be able to stop buying guitars, and I imagine that retirement will only slow me down a bit.

YOLO, so you have to indulge in what brings you happiness.

You have great taste, man. I’m thinking that ebony might get swapped up to your next, last , guitar, and you’ll put that Baja back on Ol Yeller....

Golf and playing guitars is like sex: you don't have to posses the best equipment, or be the best at it to enjoy the activity!:lol::lol:

This is one of the nicest Tele collections I’ve seen. You have great taste in Tele design. Thanks for sharing.

I also have a gold thinline but nowhere near as classy as yours. Don’t be surprised if the Custom Shop does a version with a similar aesthetic as yours . . .

That color combo is on point! Is that the Britt Daniel's tele body?

Yep the blue is my favorite! Impeccable guitars!!! Seems each is a different sound, different pickups, slight variations, great job. Thanks!

Yeah yeah yeah another drop dead gorgeous Tele on the TDPRI.
So it's not typical, so it's great in every way.

    Ho hum.

Gorgeous! I love ebony fingerboards. I 'm curious about the open top cover on the neck pickup, I've never seen one before other than a G&L. What's the rationale for it? Brighter?

The word 'had' in your thread, was the defining key word. That black bound is awesome:D

    Nice!
But going forward, maybe one of us should hold your money...

Yes, it is. But as a complete guitar the Britt Daniel has a maple board and a different set of pickups and electronics than I would pick. So, I decided to sort of "make my own" one-off Britt Daniel and save some money.

    telepraise... Thank you.

I decided to go with the open top cover because it fills the pick guard hole a bit more completely and I like the look of it. That's all. I don't think there is an audible difference in tone vs. the completely uncovered Lioness (the Lioness is a Cavalier Lion King pickup without a cover on it.). I think removing the cover from a Lion King does open up the highs, just a bit, which I appreciate with a neck pickup.

I've not added to the herd, but did change things around a bit on my two Teles by swapping necks. This is the result. _633.JPG _635.JPG _631.JPG
