Oh dear... At least it's a Fender. It's relatively easy to find a real neck on eBay that matches and only get marginally rinsed.

This is what Leo had in mind ;)

I've seen both my kids drop guitars on stage. My daughter dropped a 2 day old Tele and only popped the high E string and my son dropped his Strat and hit a mic stand, and only got a body ding. I dropped a Les Paul and popped the headstock off. S#@t happens. Oh the carnage.

Must be nice to have enough money to slam the crap out of your guitar until it breaks, then laugh about it. Just because it's easy to replace a neck doesn't mean there was any wisdom or common sense in doing that. I don't care who he is, he needs his head examined. MHO.

It is HIS guitar to do with as he chooses. There isn't any wisdom or common sense in throwing away food because 3/4 of the earth is starving but I'll bet most of us have done it at some point.

I hear you. And it's better a guitar than his wife and or kids.
However some time a mans just gotta do things that he'll regret seeing on You tube in 5 years imho.

You are right on both counts.
But in this country I have(still) a right to say what I think, and I think he's wacked in the head.
I wonder how much food the price of that guitar would buy for all those hungry people? It looks to me like that was thrown away here.
Is that what you're supporting here?
    Moralizing is a slippery slope.

Nothing is as humbling as an epic fail. Its just wood, much like a book is just paper and ink, no matter the presence or absence of great writing or message. Thats why you should have a "beater" guitar for these special brain fart moments.

I think judging anybody's actions is kind of a slippery slope. Brian did tape it and put it on YouTube because he wanted people to see it. He is absolutely opening himself up to judgement. My take is that we all do stupid things that can come off as ungrateful or just boneheaded. I think you just struck a nerve with me because I have a strat that I've dropped and its got a few scars and a co-worker said "must be nice..." He's the type of guy that can critique but not do. Complain and separate folks and start drama but not lead.

Sorry gitlvr, I had a few drinks and confused your opinion with the complaining that I so often hear.

Would that make it a bastardized Strat? Or, now just a S-type guitar
