    Heya dudes

I am Rob from England. Today I picked up a Fender Performer Penny Tele. I really love it so far.
But as we know it can take time to really get to know a guitar.

I picked one up because of "That Pedal Show". Mick on there had a lovely tele and it sounds great.
I naively always thought that teles were "Jack of all. Master of none" and not good for anything heavy which is obviously stupid.

I have been a lurker on TDPRI for ages whenever I had a question it was always pre-answered on here.
Also you guys seem to be more relaxed and cooler than other GEAR forums.

    I like curries.

Any tips on how to look after my new guitar that I maybe wouldn't know?
    Rob

Welcome - next time post w/ some pics.

Curries are an important part of our on-line discourse.
Which do you favor - red, green or yellow?
The arguments can be as fierce as any ash/alder, maple/rosewood, clean/relic dispute we can have on this board.

    Peace - Deeve

Teles get a reasonable gamut of tones, and when you get tired of the normal clean or crunch, they're easy to modify to your liking.
Got pics of your new tele?

Welcome to the madness. Please show us some pictures of your guitar so we know you’re a real member and not just some internet hacker trying to get us to give our money to the Prince of Nigeria

Welcome. Advice? Just play until you understand the instrument better, then we will overload you with details nobody should ever think about.

Welcome......advice? Just PLAY it. They are far more versatile than many people (who don't play them) think.
Curry isn't much of a thing here in Texas....a former girlfriend years ago used to cook with curry powder, and I liked it, but I don't think I've ever had a "proper" Indian curry dish. That's on my wishlist. ;)
