Some people should not be allowed near ANY kind of tool :)

Here is my first attempt at soldering from 13 years ago :)
I wanted to add a 4-way switch to my CV50, had to do the 4-way mod on the neck pickup.
This was from one of my first posts here. I was rather excited with how well it came out.

Maybe they were trying for solder tone. A massive solder blob must affect tone right?
You nailed it! More solder = more tone. My approach is to fill the input jack cavity with super heated solder, then quickly shove in the input jack before it solidifies. This gives you the strongest connection and maximum tone. Stick to your principles - don’t let the naysayers here influence you. Thin tone has made them bitter and negative.
