I finally found a decent Epiphone Triggerman 60

Yesterday, I found another Epiphone Triggerman 60 watt amp online, and one that is not only in very nice condition, but fairly priced in general, and also offered by an owner who is willing to ship one of these heavy-ass sound-bricks, and again, for a reasonable cost.

The one I really was looking for is it's smaller sibling, the Epiphone Firefly 30 watt version of these red tolex retro amps, but finding one these days is, as they say, 'problematic', so I took advantage of the opportunity to snag this one, and will continue to look for a Firefly, which will turn up sooner or later.

This Epi Triggerman is meant to replace the one I had years ago, and stupidly let go...

I have 'a thing' for retro-styled amps, and this one should, visually at least, compliment my recent Peavey Wiggy purchase.

Next, I need to save my pennies up for a Fender Vaporizer.

    Oh my!

I had the half stack, that’s one of my gear regrets is letting it go

It was exceptional for the price, at least that’s how I remember it

Have a neat sweetwater story how I acquired it too

I forgot about that Epiphone 100 watt half-stack! I will add it to my list of 'Must Have' retro amps, even though I need 100 watts like I need another 'you-know-what', but that didn't even slow me down when looking for my Wiggy.

They made two different versions at the time, I had the triggerman half stack

There was a more rocking looking black one too,The black one might have been just fine but I never cared for how it looked

The head had an open design and just looked kind of empty, I guess it’s the no tube thing

And all I can think is "this guy just bought the Wiggy, right? Of course he got a Triggerman."

One of more than a few amps I've liked just for the looks, without ever having actually heard one. Congrats.

I just found this 100 watt Triggerman half-stack on Reverb (at 5:00 AM?) for $299+$147 shipping, which is a pretty good deal. The seller says it has a few 'scuffs' from stage work, but still looks and runs good. So it's now on the way too. It'll be a very nice companion to the Wiggy.

It's weird, but I'm the kind of player who's almost never had more than one amplifier at any time, in spite of how many guitars I might have (which currently number at around twenty), but in the past month have been finding and buying guitar amps at a pretty furious rate. With this purchase, I now have four more of the things coming by either UPS or the USPS. When they arrive, my amp count will be seven, and I still want to get ahold of a Fender Vaporizer, but that one will have to wait a bit now.
