I dyed my combo

    Looks great PaulNYC! what's your opinion about its durability -- will you see the cream color if you do a small abrasion/impact?

    I think the dye made it in and i probably put too much because some still comes off.

    It's got a sort of faded blue jean look that i like. If i were to transport the combo, I'd make a cover to protect clothes from dye.

    I think I'll like how it ages. If not, i do know how to apply Tolex

    I used auto trim dye to refurbish a cosmetically challenged AC 50 cabinet. It's not very glossy so it doesn't look totally unnatural. Came out great and the piping is next. Loaded with 30 watt Weber Blue Dog and Silver Bell alnicos.

    I'm making a cab for a 15"v speaker I bought. I'll be painting it with brick red deck enamel. I don't expect Fine Woodworking to come knocking at my door. I'm going more for redneck artisanal.
