I didn't know Stratocasters could be pretty

Strats are IMO the sexiest looking guitar (is that really possible) ever made

As far as the NEW Fender EJ Virginia models being made with sassafras bodies, I'm not too sure that is correct. I'm pretty sure that Eric stated Virginia was a spruce body Strat.
I'm confident Jeff Van Zandt could confirm this but sadly Jeff passed away in July.
I bet Park Street knows ...........

Well, I could get one, and if I don't like it, I could always grind the body up and make root beer... :p

Actually, here is what an original Strat looked like. They were not as brown in the ‘burst as the pic in the first post. There is a greenish tint where the edges of the yellow burst meet with the blackish edges. This is one sure way to tell from a distance a reissue of the 1954 and the real deal. When you pul” the guard off of an original two color burst fro: the Fifties you might be shocked to see the greenish nature of things where the UV rays have not aged the nitro.

Right now I have gotten to the point that all electric guitars kind of look alike. So I look and kind of go well that’s nice.

Hilarious post in a tele group. All guitars are pretty compared to teles! :p

Maybe not "pretty", but there is something irresistible about teles

There is a 60th anniversary strat (in the above color) in Northampton...that is practically on my way home from work. If only my wife wouldn't notice another guitar hanging on the wall...

I like Strat-style guitars but if I was going to buy a genuine Fender it would either be a black, white or natural body finish with a maple fretboard. I don't like burst schemes, especially tobacco. I'm partial to large headstocks but either will do. I've got no idea why I'm biased.
None of the above strictly applies if someone wants to give me a Strat. ;)

They can't look pretty, trust your gut on that, because it is telling you the truth.

However, the only good-looking strat is what you have posted here! ;) That, or the same finish with a rosewood board.

Strats are not pretty and they wound weak, I've never understood what all the fuss is about...

To me Stratocaster looks magical only upside down. Normal way, it's kind of.. yeah, ok. Although that one is nice.

Telecaster on the other hand.. uuuyeah.

Personally I think the Stratocaster is one of the sexiest guitars out there. But then sometimes times the sexiest woman is not the pretties.

That's one of the most common finishes on a strat. I m a little underwhelmed tbh

I’m still a novice. In fact I suck playing guitar. I “inherited” my Sons Strat and Les Paul as he moved to the US and left them here with us.

The LP goes with us if we go away in our camper van as it’s a cheap copy.

I like his Strat but I love my Tele....
