In 2020 I discovered the Tele after being a long time Strat Player. My first was an American Pro II, quickly followed by a RW Vintera 70s Deluxe, then a Dragon Tele, then a Brad Paisley Esquire, and finally a Jason Isbell.

Well yesterday I wound up selling 5 guitars out of my collection I wasn't really playing and dove head first in the Tele world.... or should I say Broadcaster world.

Meet the newest member of my family. She shipped tonight should be here by Wednesday. CS 70th Anniversary Broadcaster in Journeymen Relic. Congrats! That appears to be a very tasteful relic.

That is fantastic. I can’t imagine one better for a vintage Tele. The relic job is perfect. I just looked them up on Sweetwater. The two they show are really light weight! Good job. You’ll have that one for a long time.

Thank you, I thought the same. Just enough for character and to embrace the Broadcaster name without looking too heavy. I love the fingerboard wear in the cowboy chord areas. It looks right in my eyes.

When I saw this one I just knew. It does appear to have the perfect vintage vibe. I hope it feels and sounds as good as it looks.

And, another bonus - fewer guitars to dust & re-string. Looks like you did well.

Wow, what a great looking Telecaster! Did you sell the 5 you listed in your original post, or were there some non-Teles among the ones you sold?

I have 4 Teles now, all slightly different in playability, tone and looks, and can't imagine selling any one of them.

Make sure you don't put it on a pedestal surrounded by armored glass. Play the hell out of that thing!
