A video was posted sometime last year of a player with exceptional touch and tone. He played a tele (of course), and the music was somewhat mellow. It reminded me of a cross between Bill Frisell and Buchanan. He changed the pickup selector quite a bit during the song to get different sounds. He was an older guy, playing with a full band.

If you have any ideas, please post! I want to listen to more of his playing, but can't remember his name or how to find the videos!

Nope, I follow that dude for sure. Thanks though, good guess. This guy was much less Buchanan than Jim. Although, he may have actually been playing a Buchanan song in the video, but I really can't remember much besides wanting to follow the guy.

I really don't remember! There was a tread on here about the video, and I remember people were analyzing his use of the pickup selector switch throughout the song. He had a very light touch.

My guess - Duke Levine, one of the tastiest players around.

uuu he's a really great player ! didn't know him until recent, i heard a tune made from one of our forum members, if i'm recalling correctly it was a version of silent night.

This guy is amazing, his tone and touch are really sweet and well balanced.

Greatest exchange between two guitar players I've seen in a while.....
