I’m deciding between the dsl20 with anattenuator and the super crush or even a Blackstar ht1 and a 1x12 can as I’m in an apartment. I did look the dsl1 but they have different tubes but I wanted el84 tubes and I question if those different tubes would bring that creamy warmth like those in the jcm heads

If you’re in an apartment, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to turn it up loud enough for the power tubes to make a difference. The DSLs make all of their dirt in the pre-amp anyway.

Don’t get me wrong — I think the current crop of DSLs are great. But don’t expect EL34s to make a sonic difference in an apartment.

Orange super crush. It has a direct out you can run to a di and use headphones without worrying about a load for the amp. Plus they sound great.

From your list I would choose the Blackstar. I have a 1 watt and 20 watt Blackstar head. Love them both. Warm great overdrive, nice Reverb. Very versatile and built like tanks.

Yeah... think headphones in an apartment. No way you can crank an amp to distortion levels. Even with an attenuator IMO.

I'd spend the money on a modeling system with headphone output and headphones. Get a slew of amp/cab models and have some fun with good sounds instead of "barely" sounds.
