I built myself a non-tele-guitar, beware of set-neck guitar content.

I finished a scratch built Coronet style guitar a couple of days ago and it turned out pretty well, if I say so myself. I found a large piece of mahogany online last fall, large enough for two one-piece bodies and one or two necks. Turned out it was only enough for the one neck, I promptly managed to f**k that piece up so the neck had to be made of walnut instead. My initial plan was to make a LP Junior single cut but somehow, can’t remember how, this plan turned into a Coronet, go figure. Couldn’t find any plans for the first, symmetrical shaped Coronet so had to make up new ones in Illustrator, then send these off for laser cutting in mdf, took me weekends since October in our summer-cottage-workshop, images below.

    Looks very nice :).

I really like the look of one-piece bodies.

The book-matched or slip-matched look just doesn't do it for me ;).

That looks really cool. Well done. Your outhouse looks nice. New paint? No moon shaped window?

Thanks! That’s the garden shed, the lawnmower lives there.
