I am going to try that as soon as These leftovers are used up! That sounds delicious.
Don't mix it all together. Instead, mix the ground chuck and ground turkey, and roll that out flat and thin, in a rectangle about 1/2" thick. Slice up the sausage of your choice (brats work too) in 1/4" thick slices and lay them randomly on the rolled out meat. Start at one end and roll it up like a carpet. Bake as normal.
When you slice into the meatloaf you'll see the chunks of sausage and each type will retain its own flavor. You can also lay strips of bacon in there too. Sliced jalapenos are also a nice surprise.
I like the cut of your sail there Peegoo!
Sounds a treat to me.
We did steaks this year. Easy to make, easy to clean up, and I never liked turkey anyway.
