Tomato sauce? Cheese? Did you use bread crumbs or croutons as a binder? Inquiring minds want to know!

It’s just me and the cat this year and he doesn’t mind if I eat half a pumpkin pie and wash it down with a burger.

Ha....I hear you (everybody, that is).

I get weary of turkey very quickly and too damn much work.
So, we haven't had it for the last few years.
Me?....I'd be happy with tacos and 2XX's....thank you very much.

This time?....crock pot beef short ribs, oven baked potatoes with olive oil and green bean casserole.
    Oh....and a generous glass(es) of merlot....just to be sociable.
    Just the wifster and myself....perfect.

Have a great weekend everyone with family/friends.
    Be safe....

I hope not...we had roast duck.

My wife is South Asian via England before coming to the U.S. Traditional Thanksgiving dinner for her was prime rib. And I've never been a big fan of turkey.

Welcome to the club. There are other clubs. We don't do ANY of the stuff they want us to do on other certain dates. I PayPal'd both of my sons $1000 each a couple of weeks ago because I know they're not in the "club" yet for December (or T'Day for that matter). My youngest son and his family won't get a cent next year because he hasn't even texted me "thanks" for the grand I sent him this year. $1000 isn't worth ten seconds of text? Ok...

I like turkey just fine but just because someone is ringing a bell doesn't mean my mouth is watering. I'LL decide...

On behalf of the Turkey federation, we salute you.

Our organization will send coupons for pork and beef promptly. Chicken is also a great alternative.

I made meatloaf here today too. I used ground chuck, spicy Italian sausage, Old Bay sausage, and ground turkey...so there is that turkey thing going on in it.

Hey we kept it easy too and made turkey meatloaf with gravy... was a first for us and pretty dang good. Throw some can potatoes and fresh carrots in the pan around the loaf and you got a pretty nice meal.

Man, that sounds pretty good to me. I’d love to do a totally non-trad holiday meal while I’m still young enough to taste it and enjoy it. Usually those suggestions get shot down around here but maybe one day...

...this year my wife just ordered everything through the Honeybaked Ham store: Turkey, sweet potato soufflé, smashed potatoes, pecan pie. And not only was it pretty good, it was easy to clean up! And lots of leftovers. Kind of a fun deviation.
