...and it cost me $100. It’s a Firebird Zero. Cool huh?
I have nothing to complain about. Nothing!
You understand, we're gonna need some pics here.
Pics coming soon. For now, artistic rendition will have to do!
Where are the strings?
Close enough for now!
$100 seems a bit high.
That's a Firebird Zero alright.
Looks identical in all but lack of strings. Great job and hngd.
Wow, congratulations! My USA Gibsons costs me....somewhat more than that.
Looks good to me. I feel like there’s some in joke I’m missing though?
They're very little away from being a great value. When they're gone watch them go cult classic.
For $100 what's not to love?
Some folks are nuts for those Squier 51's.
Seems in line to me.
Seriously, is there a fundamental flaw in those guitars that I don't know about? USA made, nitro. Is there an inherent unplayability with their "geometry" or something? Looks awesome.
I've never heard of a Firebird Zero before, I was half expecting a rising sun paint job.
Looks cool. Congrats.
Are there non-US Gibsons? Anyways, congrats!
I don’t know why this guitar gets a negative remark. Maybe it’s because it was 500 new? That could make me feel like the value wasn’t there because Epiphone and Squier have raised the bar so high. But like MilwMark said, it’s a MIA and nitro. The nitro is like a flash coat with no clear, ready to ‘relic’.
I like the look, a little neck divey. I was thinking “needs Filtertron” but you know what? These pickups are kinda special. All I needed to do was oil the fretboard (rosewood) and adjust the truss rod. I’ll try to hold on to it, but it looks like I got a good price..
I like how the silkscreened “Gibson” truss rod cover is so non-committal, like “we’ll pull this guitar’s card if it ends up hurting the brand”
I know right? I was emphasizing that this was MIA, but I realized an import Gibson is an Epiphone, so stuck by it
I wonder if a Maestro would fit . . . ? Solve that neck dive problem.
Actually, looking at the strap button, I figured it would balance even though really light.
@BorderRadio - tell me more about the pickups? Good string volume balance despite non-adjustable slugs?
