I love my Tone City Bad Horse. It's one of my favorite Klones, and Anderton's has an exclusive Tone City pedal, the Durple, which is Danish Pete's tweaked version of the Mandragora, another pedal which sounds great in the videos I've seen, and was considering. But, Pete made his signature one sound so good, that I went ahead and ordered it. Hopefully, I will sound 10% as good with it, 'cause Pete, like Mike Hermans, Pete Thorn, and some other YouTubers, is so good that he makes everything he plays sound great. But, when I heard the sound of it with the neck pickup at about 3:00, I was sold. It came to about $60 including shipping, if I did my pound to dollar conversion right.

He's a staff member at Andertons. Famous for his Purple Tele, and a fine player. YouTube has lots of clips.

Here's Pete and Lee Anderton with some purple Teles:

When they introduced those purple Fender and Squier Teles, they sold out almost immediately. Losing Robb, and getting Pete, is the best move Lee ever made, IMO.

Ahh, thanks.

I think I have always disregarded those videos for some reason.

Rabea's signature Tone City pedal sounds great too, but he's another player who makes everything sound good.

His tone on the neck pickup of his Strat with this pedal is also awesome. But, I've heard him get that same tone with a Squier Affinity Strat and a Fender Champion 20, lol. Maybe I should have got both the Durple and the Wild Fro. I think the shipping would have been the same price for both of them as it was for the one.

a true gambler, $ 60.00 on red!
I bought a new pedal called the EX GEAR Red Fury Distortion. It will stick to your refrigerator door or any steel/iron surface like a metal pedal board. all the nobs light up when it is engaged. oh before I end It's a great high gain style distortion. Turn your solid state mini practice amp into a fire breathing beast without the angry wasp buzzing.

Congrats on the pedal!!

Danish Pete is great - actually like the whole Anderton's crowd - visiting that store is on my bucket list. Lee is a pretty straight shooter in his videos - kinda surprising given that he is still in business being that way.

Anyhow, enjoy!!!

Now that Riff City has gone out of business, the major North American dealer for Tone City seems to be mec.2009, a Canadian dealer on Ebay. They have great prices and good selection, and offer free shipping. I buy most of my pedals on Ebay, from either them or cheaperpedals in California, who have great prices and service too, and also have free shipping.
Here's a list I've compiled of the Tone City pedals and the pedals that they're derived from-
Dry Martini- Fulltone OCD
Bad Horse- Klon Centaur
Golden Plexi- Lovepedal Purple Plexi
Mandragora- Lovepedal Kalamazoo
Sweet Cream- Mad Professor Sweet Honey
Kaffir Lime- Ibanez TS808
Wild Fire- Suhr Riot

Also been interested in The Dane from Thorpy FX.
Believe it is a boost pedal.

Check out any of the Anderton's videos with Pete, it's always a pleasure to see/hear him play, and he always comes across as a guy I'd be happy to have a beer with too.
Except in Britain they call it a pint, lol. And, I got an email telling me that my pedal has been "dispatched", haha. Funny language they speak on that side of the pond!

Who is Danish Pete?

Danish session and touring guitarist, played with loads of pop artists like Girls Aloud, Tom Jones, some 'Boy Bands' etc.

Lives in the UK, does videos for Andertons (a UK music shop in Guildford) I'm not exactly sure if he's exactly 'staff member' or just a friend and someone they pay to make videos.
