Make that low about 80 and I’d be happy. I find as I get older that I have a very narrow comfort range starting at about 80. Unfortunately it looks like we will be retiring to Atlanta in a few years, and it gets chilly there.

Speak for yourself. Cold is anything below 80.

You should come down to visit. Who did he work with? WYWAM or a local church?

No. I'm originally from Phoenix, and I understand this.

If it keeps this up, I might have to put on a long sleeve shirt AND a pair of long legged pants!

Young son called and needed me to help him with something shortly after I put up the weather post. I'm sure most of you figured out it was a bit tongue in cheeks, because of the bad weather going on in so many places. I truly don't like cold weather anymore, liked it when I hunted with hounds it added an element to the hunting being outdoors etc. My taste have changed though, and now I'd like it if it was warm all of the time. Perfect for me would be rain at night, clearing in the morning to a sunshine filled day every day.

I spent a month in Racine Wisconsin, one terrible week in February many moons ago. Only way I'd go there in the winter, or any other time was if I was kidnapped by a good looking wider woman .

I love it. I camp on the coldest nights of the year. I've done -30F a few times. The best I could do this year was -16F. It's interesting how much moisture you exhale:

When it is cold, I can put on as many clothes as i like, until I get comfortable.
When it's HOT, the reverse is not true.
Sooner or later, somebody calls the Police.

18F (-8 Celsius) here right now in Alberta. I walked to the post office today to check the mail. I always take a circuitous route so I walked about a kilometre (.625 mile). The temperature was around 25F which is a positively balmy winter temperature and the sun was shining.

I'm not a fan of winter even though I spent most of my working life working outside at oil refineries in all seasons. I just didn't have a choice if I wanted to put food on the table. And truth be told, it really wasn't that bad for the most part if one was dressed for cold weather.

I've been thinking about going down to Arizona for the winters and may do so yet. The summers would be too hot. Anything over 90F would be too hot for me. I grew up in an area of Newfoundland where 75-80F temperatures were considered a heat wave.

    WYWAM I believe.
The Clays were the people he went down there with.

I would love to visit some time.
It was an amazing time for the kid, 19 years old and living on a island in the Caribbean, whats not to love eh ?
