I bought it used in 2015 and have done quite a few subtle mods to it over the years. For the latest mod I’ve just built a Baja control plate, to which I’ve added a no load tone pot I’d got in my parts box.
    The main mods are,
Gotoh relic tuners, as one of the originals was slipping when I bought it.
    Fender 51 Nocaster pickups
    Bakelite pick guard
Screws swapped for early 50’s slot heads
    Compensated brass saddles

I’ve never had a Baja, but did once fit a MIM Standard with a control plate from one so I am familiar with the series and out of phase positions.

It’s getting late now, so I’m gonna give it a good run tomorrow.

    Peace.

Cool. I may follow in your footsteps. I have a 2020 MIM Road Worn Vintera, which I love and play all the time. I also have a Baja, which plays great and has super tones but I don’t like the gloss neck. I’ve thought about Baja-ing my Road Worn and selling my Baja but I haven’t done it yet.

Let us know how she plays and sounds, please!

Sounds great through headphones on my Blackstar HT1, but I’ll give it a run through the Blues Jnr and 68 custom deluxe tomorrow. I’ve just got myself a fender Tre-Verb pedal so that needs a good airing through my proper amps as well

I'm guessing the one hanging next to it probably doesn't suck either!

The one next to it is a MIM classic Esquire. That’s sporting a nice sounding Texas Special.
