Estimated to be as rough as Hurricane Michael. Ida is winding up to be a big girl.
    With an attitude.
If ya'll are down that way good luck and god bless, my prayers are with you .

Current reports here sound very serious. It sounds like this is NOT the one to second guess. Please take precautions and be safe. Best wishes to all being impacted by IDA.

    Stay safe folks!

I know a few on the gulf who decided to ride out previous ones. Their only remark: "Never again!"

I was in Baton Rouge for Katrina. Prayers for everyone affected. Ida looks like a doozy.

God Bless Louisiana. It's expected to saunter through here in north Georgia. We have flashlights, batteries, water, food, stuff, just in case.

Pack your bugout bag, gas up the car and be ready to leave. Like Frankie MacDonald says, "BE PREPARED!!!"

I trust Frankie's forecasts more than I do NOAA or NWS.

Some of us Northerners were a little cranky what with big reportage on small storm Henri.

Hope y’all down in the bayou get some of that disappointment too!
But might as well be fixin for the other alternative...

Wish we could just straighten out that wind and blow the rain over to California.

    South Mississipi reporting in.

We've got supplies, food, water, and gas to run the generator for a few days. Expected to be a Cat1/TS at our location. Katrina was still a strong Cat1 when it came through, so we know what to expect.

A LOT of traffic moving on I-55N so it appears people are taking it seriously.

Made it to Duck Dynasty country by 4PM

I-55 was indeed busier than normal.

Did you know that I-55 in Mississippi is the Robert Johnson Memorial Highway? I would have guessed US 61 or US 49 would have that designation. Where they cross is the crossroads.

Here in California we have wildfires and drought. Tennessee has flooding, Louisiana , Florida and the Gulf Coast have hurricanes. and the Midwest has tornado's. Nowhere to escape mother nature's wrath.
