Hurricane Dorian...

    My daughter and her fiancé had a loud, windy as hell night last night, lost some roof shingles (although no siding), but AMAZINGLY never lost power or TV service. So, they're fine, glad they stayed. But they never had any second thoughts about evacuating last year - their place came through without too much damage, but they'd have been stuck on an island with no power for the better part of a week. They were better off leaving.

    I don't know where Cherokee County is, but, for the love all things pure and good, stay the hell away from Alabama!

    Even though Dorian is losing steam, it appears Halifax, Nova Scotia will still experience a very serious storm.

    Man did I get lucky. Just over a week ago my wife and I were in Halifax and this week we dodged a bullet on the South Carolina coast.

    And, I have no intention of going anywhere near Alabama.

    Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket today?

    People are saying that Dorian is going to do a u-turn and come back for Alabama:lol:

    We did have one turn back around and hit us twice. Don't remember the year but it was Bonney

    It'll be hitting Halifax as a cat 1 hurricane later today. We're waiting...
