Just for fun. If you were told you couldn't play single coils ever again - what humbucking guitar would you choose?

I wouldn't want to live in such a world; I mean no P90s! In that nightmare of a place I would pick a Tele Deluxe.

I have a MIJ Norlin LP copy that sounds awesome. It has a T-Top in the neck and a Vineham 6070 T-Top clone in the neck.

Yeah a Goldtop with mini hb's would probably be my choice, if a little predictable for a Tele man.

    No problem for me.
I cannot tolerate single coil hum.
My all time favorites are the TV Jones Classic+ for bridge, and Supertron, for neck.
I have em on 5 of my busiest guitars.

If I couldn't get my hands on a 70s Thinline with WRHBs, I'd pick my SG Special with mini-hums... Very versatile. Capable of raunch when opened up, and lovely, rich cleans with the volume knobs rolled back.

I'm good with my Melancon Custom T with humbuckers.

I am hoping to pick up an American Professional II Deluxe this year. Will definitely come from Sweetwater!

The partscaster below is still in the works, should be done this summer. I am 99.99% there.
Just need to have the custom polished stainless control plate chromed to match the rest of the hardware.

I actually got the inspiration for this guitar and the pickup combo when I ran into a random video on Youtube. The guitar and his tone just clicked with me. I have always had an affinity for white guitars with rosewood necks. I have had several over the years. I have several now.

Warmoth body, Fender American Professional II neck, Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck 'lil 59 in the bridge.
Toneshaper electronics with a 5 way super switch in it. Every one of my partscasters has a Toneshaper.
I have had the SD 59 in neck of several partscaster and I love the tone.
Calling this one my Ergocaster. I have been dealing with arthritis in the hands as well as carpal tunnel. 30 years and going in IT o_O
I went with a Deep C in the American Profession II neck as it felt like it kept my hands open more which seams to create less tension for me.
I will also be running 9s on this guitar. I am currently experimenting with 9s, 9.5s and balanced tension 9s on my main practice Tele.
