Hello, I am working on a wiring project for an HSS tele with a volume and 2 tone controls. I am using an S1 switch and a 5-way super switch I have worked out a wiring diagram that can accomplish the pickup selections below, But I am having trouble working in the tone controls here is the hopeful end-result, all combinations are in parallel unless otherwise noted. Bridge HB splits to screw coil Pos. 1 (S1 up) Bridge HB Pos. 1 (S1 down) Bridge HB and Middle (in series) Pos. 2 (S1 up) Bridge split and middle Pos. 2 (S1 down) Bridge split Pos. 3 (S1 up) Middle Pos. 3 (S1 down) Bridge split and Neck Pos. 4 (S1 up) Middle and Neck Pos. 4 (S1 down) Bridge split, Middle, and Neck Pos. 5 (S1 up) Neck Pos. 5 (S1 down) Neck and Middle (in series) The problem I am having is with the tone controls. there are two options for the tone controls that would be acceptable tone 1 for the bridge pickup, tone 2 for neck and middle pickups -OR- tone 1 for pos. 1 and 2, tone 2 for pos 3, 4 and 5 (this would be preferred) I am curious what the best way to get the tone controls connected would be, and if anyone has an idea of the most efficient way to wire the pickups as well? As I mentioned before, I was able to get a diagram together for the pickup combinations, but it only allows room for tone 1 on positions 1 and 2 I can get tone 2 on positions 3 and 5 but anything on 4 would just be grounded out or create unwanted pickup combinations. any help would be greatly appreciated.
