So, I thought I was going to be a Strat guy for life... But the simplicity and clarity of the Telecaster lured me in like a siren calling. Plus, my wife uttered those magic words, "you can get whatever you want'. So this pretty blue tiger is my new friend. I'm getting to know it and trying out some mods. Right now it has Fred Stuart Blackguards wired with a 4-way switch, and I'm liking them so far. With this set, the bridge and the combo-parallel positions are my favorites. I appreciate the views shared in this forum, which have been very helpful in learning about the Telecaster world.

Welcome @Hootmeister ! We can always use more Texans around here. :D

As a word of advice tho, never believe a wife who says "you can get whatever you want". That may not end well lol...

Enjoy your stay... a lot of cool folks here.

    Take care

I see you updated the thread with a location... Just so anyone else thinks about Texas, we have East Texas, North Texas, West Texas, Rio Grande Texas, South Texas (Houston) and South South Texas (Brownsville), River Valley Country Texas and Texas Panhandle.
Its one of the only states where you have to denote latitude and longitude to know whether you can drive there in an eight hour day. :)

And you left out Central Texas, the Hill Country!

Heck, even "North Texas" or "East Texas" isn't specific enough sometimes. I was looking for some hunting land a while back and wanted it in "East Texas" where I grew up and some of the listings were 3 hours past where I grew up, which is still "East Texas", lol.

Just to give some perspective as to Texas' size.....you could fit roughly SIX United Kingdoms into ONE Texas. ;)
EDIT and correction.....don't know where I first heard or read what I just stated.....actually ONLY three UKs would fit into Texas. (sorry) :):):)
