man if you don't have any bills, no rent and no financial responsibilities just go ahead and get it! If you don't like it you can always flip it.

This reminds me of the one where a guy walks into a bar and asks all the guys IN the bar to talk him out of buying a drink. Haha. No disrespect...been there. ;)

It's a lot easier to say "no" in person. Just get 'er home, and then have whatever conversation comes to mind...

    I can't help you

I absolutely love mine, it is the best Tele I've ever played, and it is one of my favorite guitars I've ever owned. It's definitely my favorite guitar I've ever owned just to sit down and play.

Well my rig can handle just about anything

You are going to be surprised just how versatile the Hot Rod is. It has fantastic pickups! I foolishly swapped out the bridge for a Seymour Duncan L'il 59. Don't get me wrong, the SD is great so I'm not swapping back, but the OEM pickup was just as good. You're going to love the SD mini in the neck! It is super slick.

The amp is a Swart Space Tone Atomic Jr. On it's own it's phenomenal. With pedals it's phenomenal. The reverb on it is again phenomenal! My pickups are
(some may not be in pic)

Swart Atomic Boost (Rangemaster type of deal).

Keeley Time Machine Boost (makes the amp have a '66, '73, '78, transparent boost type vibe).

Keeley Luna Overdrive (it's what it is, a great sounding overdrive)

    Keeley KO-ALS (Stahlhammer) (high gain)

Keeley Son of Fuzz (in transit)

*Neunaber Slate/EXP (too much going on to explain, I strongly urge you to check it out or PM me for more detail, it's my star pedal).

TC Electronics Hall of Fame Reverb (just another reverb option next to the amp and Neunaber).

Digitech Jimi Hendrix Experience (too much to go over)

Additionally I just picked up a Fender Jaguar so surf is covered (I just need to learn how to play surf ).

Unfortunately my pops is very ill right now so I haven't had a chance to really play around with several of my pedals, but hopefully things will get better and I'm gonna be prepared for pretty much everything. Well I need a wah, and looper, and any other pedal that peaks my interest, but I'm in great shape.

Dude, you are really going to love your hot rod! The neck radius is a bit narrow and I had to get use to it after years of playing wider Les Pauls, but it's a very doable transition. The neck radius was a big reason I went with the Hot Rod (9.5") vs the standard '52 (7.25"). Well that, the frets, and the mini-humbucker.

BUY THE DAMN THING ALREADY!!!! you only live once. unless of course you plan on having yourself cryogenically frozen and if they ever figure out how to bring you back to life, then there will still be a tele on ebay you must have so just skip all the shenanigans (yes I said the "s" word) and buy it now (pun very much intended).

yep it's bought packed and shipped, hopefully here by the end of the week. I hate waiting weekends for a guitar to arrive. I'll take photos when I get it and put them up.

Should I wait before opening it up, I hear that opening it up as soon as it arrives can ruin the finish. any truth to that?
