Back in 2007 picked up new Princeton reverb but was never really happy with it, over the next thirteen years it changes have been many but I think the end is near

Formidable! 12" or 15" speaker in your Princeton? The tilt-backs look good.

Yeah, I'll bet that thing sounds _really good_ with a JBL 15" speaker! And welcome to the forum!

    Very nice!

I have done some similar things to my Princeton Reverb, too.

I replaced the power transformer with a Deluxe Reverb part; and replaced the output transformer with an upgraded model (Allen TO26).

Also installed a 12" Jensen NEO 100, which supposedly sounds much like the old JBLs. I have an old JBL 15" in a separate speaker box.

And - of course - the tilt-back legs!

Stanford that’s clever because I only stole the King from Kingston from a D-lab Electronics video

    very wise!

I tried to use my PR back in the 90's with a country band, playing small clubs. It just couldn't keep up.

After the mods (especially the transformers) I used it for rhythm guitar in a loud classic-rock cover band. It could easily do the job.
