How important is you wallet? I bought a new one tonight on Amazon and it freaked me out. It’s the only male money doo-hickcy that I’ll carry for three years. Serious. I Think.

I'm particular. It has to fit easily into a front pants pocket. I knew in my 20's that I didn't want one that I had to sit on all day--that would make my sitting position uneven.

I haven't carried a wallet in years. I have an elastic pouch on the back of my iPhone.

I'm old school & like a bunch of sleeves and slots for cards. I've had the same Coach wallet my wife got me that has worn forever in my back pocket for the last 15 years, only replacing the plastic sleeve fold portion once! I think my butt has a permanent indentation from it.

I had a trifold velcro wallet for a long long time, and I don't even know how many years ago I bought another black trifold velcro wallet because the first one was falling apart, and I still have it. It's very flat because I don't keep a whole lot in it, but I like to have a wallet. My dad had a leather wallet, and I think it was about 2 in thick. I always told him that was probably causing him his back problems. In fact as soon as I get in my truck I take my wallet out and throw it into a cubby hole, even though it's very thin.

My current wallet was a birthday present from one of my kids.

It's a nice leather job, about 15 years old now, and good for a few more years yet, hopefully. It's nicely molded to the shape of my arse cheek...

Man...this is a tough subject, but must be talked about

I’m a tri-fold guy myself and still use cash so I don’t understand these little metal plastic doohickeys that hold like 20 cards, how many people have 20!? Cards!, what are they all for?

Once I find a wallet I like it stays with me till it falls apart, I’m probably 3-5 years in on my current one, a Walmart wallet can be fine but it must be leather tri-fold and meet my criteria

I actually saw one the other day that met my demands and I almost picked it up Incase of the inevitable, I didn’t want my old one to get jealous though, me trading her in on a tight flat new model

On a side pop culture note, my wallet has been referred to as the “George Costanza” wallet as it’s usually bloated

The real question is, back or front pocket? I’m a front pocket guy, always have been because I’m PARANOID, I can always easily pat my thigh and assure myself it’s still there, and I would think it uncomfortable on the rear

    I just did.
It wasn’t stressful in the least.
I seem to need a new one every couple of years.

Evolution of getting slimmer and smaller. I’m due for a new one. Cash, coin and checks are eliminated at this point. Going minimalist. Leather only.

It's not stressful at all, but I'll carry the same wallet for as many years as it takes to wear out.

After searching to find the slimmest wallet possible, I'm currently using an Allett Original nylon wallet and I anticipate I will continue using the same brand and model wallet for the rest of my life. I carry enough stuff to have an almost George Constanza wallet if I used a leather wallet, but with the Allett it's slim and compact. Right now I've got $575 mostly in $20s, about 20 cards, and a few other things in it and it's right at an inch thick. I've been running the same one for three years so far and it literally shows almost no signs of wear.

That said, I had a buddy years back who literally used a ziplock freezer bag for his wallet. He go to pay for something and pull the ziplock out and I would laugh hysterically every single time.

I got a real nice one for my 18th birthday which I finally had to retire thirty years later when the lining was gone and the leather worn thin, it had seen a great many transactions, it is still in the draw, I couldn't bin it

    What is a wallet?
Where I live the actual use of cash is forbidden (in the fight against tax evasion Greeks pay a hefty fine at the end of tha tax year if they don't spend at least 50% of their income by credit or debit cards)
I haven't used cash in a decade and I don't even carry the actual plastic on me,everything is paid with my phone (that has the card apps in it)
I see those poor tourists getting pickpocketed in the metro ,since most of them carry their wallet in their back pocket, and I really feel sorry for them.
But to be honest I do carry an ancient 20 euro note in my back pocket "just in case" but this case hasn't happened in a decade.
