How Often Do You Clean the Coffee Pot

How often do you clean the coffee pot? My answer is not vary often maybe every couple months. I do rinse the carafe and place where the paper drip filter goes out but actually clean every couple months maybe. this kind of goes back to perk coffee and really cleaning it made for about three or four days of awful tasting coffee. My drip maker has a clean cycle that went off after three months and I ran vinegar and water through it. After a rinse it tasted fine. How about you?

I don't use my coffee pot at home but another guy at work cleans ours pretty often. I don't think they need cleaning very often, though.

I clean my moka pot when I buy a new one, before the first brew. That's it.

I don't get people using BLEACH on anything that can have food contact. Really? Ouch.

When my Mr Coffee died of old age I got a Hamilton Beach k-cup machine on sale on a whim. No pots to clean anymore. Yes, I have gone to the dark side and am happy about it.

The grounds and paper go straight into my compost.

I'm by myself. I just use a small Mr coffee. Run vinegar through every month or so. Get a new one every fall as I figure there's insects in it after monsoon season.

Me too, and Mrs Wrighty doesn't even drink coffee! Makes for a quiet life though
