I drinks as much as I likes, thank ye.
It wasn’t till a few years I got into whiskey. Since both grand dads were involved in Whiskey, ( one a consumer of untaxed mountain whiskey and th other a distributor of it) it was just a matter of time I guess. I enjoy good whiskey, can identify bad cheap whiskey and enjoy it on the rocks and In cocktails.
I enjoy several good bourbons or a certain Tennessee whiskey (not the bigger brand), and often pair it with a simple beer. I think I've averaged around half a fifth each month, which equates to about 3-4 portions a week, or a drink every other day.
I don't do spirits since getting a little crazy on it back in my youth.
I drink a lot and I drink fast when i'm out so it's safer to stick with beer.
Jim Bean for me..And I only drink when I'm alone...........Or with somebody...
I used to drink scotch often, never got a hangover from it and I didn’t feel like I ate a loaf of bread like when I have a lotta beers. I got to where I could really put it away which was fine for a long time until it humbled me a few times like nothing ever has. Now I don’t have it often. I can drink it but I can’t gulp it like used to. Makes for some real good stories !
When I have a drink Bourbon is my preference. I won’t drink it all, but I won’t waste it all either.
I have this cool old bottle of dewars though , no idea how old it is but much older than me
When watching Deadwood I read up on a bit. Spirits were both necessary for safe hydration, and considerably weaker, in those days.
Fast forward to Justified, they drink spirits, but not nearly as much.
I don’t drink much alcohol. Don’t avoid it either. When I do, I prefer
when I get a sixpack, i'll usually get two shots of jim beam to spice it up. that's about all the whiskey I drink. otherwise, I drink vodka. I love bourbon, but I can get wild on it.
Must have great willpower given you appear to live in the heart of bourbon country.
It takes me about a year to go through a bottle of single malt. But then I don't drink crap and good single malt isn't cheap so...
ETA: ...and I don't drink any other spirits/liquor. Occasional wine, and don't really like beer. Just not a bourbon or vodka drinker...
I drinks none.
...though I would truly like to sample a 25 year old Pappy Van Winkle. But at $25,000 per bottle, I'm gonna have to make some very generous friends.
I enjoy single malt scotches, although I also enjoy a nice brandy or cognac on a cold winter night. How much do I drink? Not a heck of a lot...I will usually have one or two after a nice dinner on a Sunday evening while sitting on my patio watching the sun set. However, there may be a couple of times a year where I may "overdo" it and have more than I really should.
makers or bushmills when I drink whiskey. love them both, like nearly all of them.
Moderation, pace and BARTENDER! BARTENDER! there we go.
I'm so done with the tasting. It is Maker's Mark or I'm not interested. I consider it a special after dinner treat along with a nice Portugal Port as an alternative.
I used to drink bourbon, gin, scotch, and even went through periods of Bailey's Irish Creme, YaegerMeister and Tequila. For 23 years, this past August, not a drop. So I take it one day at a time....
I don't drink liquor, just beer and my homemade mead (kinda like wine, but with honey being the main fermentable...not inexpensive to make, but tasty)
I drinks this
