It's the staple or go to drink of every other country song. The drink of cowboys and outlaws and people in bars in movies drinking doubles to forget.

No I don't spend all my time in a bar but I see.more beer consumed than whiskey. Of course it sells at the ABC store as well and you can drink it at home.

I will have some myself but a bottle lasts a while.

So back to music. Is it overrepresented in music or am I just not drinking enough of it?

Only when they are sent to the band. That said. Bourbon and whiskey getting very in and have their cork sniffer types. Remember the Doors whiskey bar. Lol

Bourbon. I prefer Wild Turkey 101, or Bookers. Will drink any tho. Usually a fifth a weekend - when I drink, which is seldom.

Jameson, J & B, johnnie walker black label, Dewar's white label, maybe even some Jim Beam. Wild Turkey if i absolutely, positively must wake up in a jail cell by morning.

I actually hate to say it, because it's often taken as being pretentious.....but brandy (and NOT that California swill) is about all I drink. For some reason, even if I over-imbibe, I never experience hangovers. I do add a bit of water, up to maybe 40% to 60% brandy. If interested, Raynal is a good imported (French) economy brandy. And if I drink out some place, I never get it in a snifter.....that's just asking for trouble.

I like my Irish whiskey, but I actually drink more Scotch whisky, especially 'cask' whisky which our daughter and her family import into B.C. and Alberta.

I also drink Guiness as my first choice beverage.

    Cheers!!

Haven't had any alcohol for years, but wasn't a whiskey drinker. I wouldn't turn it down, but preferred vodka. Nothing for me, thanks.

I generally wont touch the bourbon, rye, whiskey, etc. Doesnt sit well with me.

But... Sometimes in life (or song) "whiskey" might refer to "corn squeezins"

Now, done proper justice..... You got my attention.

    (Looks right. Looks left.....)
Now, dont you tell nobody that! Hear?

    Seriously.

The only whiskey I drink is in my coffee on cold golf mornings.
    I prefer beer normally.

I like a wee nip of Red Breast Irish Whiskey now and again, especially since winter is upon us. A bottle lasts me a long time though.

I drink very little , I just got used to not having it around , I like Canadian whiskey , never really was fond of burbon but a shot into a hot coffee in the morning on a day when all the chores are done and I dont have to be anywhere is a treat

I’ve been known to sip a good bourbon. I’m most fond of Elijah Craig. The aforementioned cork sniffers say it’s rather basic, but I find it a great all-around “best bang for your buck” bourbon.

I also love a properly prepared old fashioned. And Moscow mules.

That said, I drink very little these days. Maybe once a month, two drinks, max.
