I greet people with "Howdy" quite often and everyone gets that... but...

Greet people with a wave and a "Hiya" from time to time...

Prepare to be amazed how many people respond with "Fine, how are you?"

I worked with a company in Texas for a couple years, fun bunch of folks. There was this one lady that was so Texan that only Texas could contain her, big hair, big flashy clothes, big heels, big makeup.

Anyway, I got to personally witness the rare usage of the following as said by her as a native in discussion with other natives while I was eavesdropping David Attenborough-style.

"All'y'all'll": Contraction; "all of you all will"; collective plural future-tense directive. Example "Y'all add your names to the picnic list so all'y'all'll know what to bring come Sunday."

"All y'all'll."  I'm a Texan and that one even strikes me as funny. Even so, I've just added that colloquialism to my vocabulary. ;)

Kinda reminds me of a line from I Love Lucy, said by Lucy to Ethel about a stuck door knob:

We use that in MS too. But it comes out sounding like: "all-a-yall-a"

I use it from time to time. Grew up in LA with a southern dad. Out west we usually say you guys, but when addressing a group of women its easier just to say y'all.

Around here, the standard form of address is "eyup"

"Youth" is the word used for a male of any age

"duck" is used for either gender of any age.

eyup duck/ eyup youth is what I tend to say and get said to me.

y'all is what y'all movie folks say
