How many tele do I own ? It doesn't seem to matter how many that I have , it just seems like I'm always one short all the time.

I used to have all these:

Left to right: Partscaster Thinline, American Pro, Squier Standard

Then I moved to Australia, sold all my guitars except my American Pro which turned into this

Changed the neck into a full U-Shape 1inch thick solid rosewood neck.

But I returned it to stock configuration, and traded it in, because I’ve found my “one”. My dream telecaster, the one I will take to my grave if my son doesnt take up guitar.

My 2004 AVRI ‘62 Custom Telecaster.

Im down to only one tele for now. But I still have that rosewood neck sitting in the corner until I can decide whats my next telecaster experiment would be.

Currently got three, an early Mexican model which I think was called a Contemporary, it's a sunburst Keith Richards type with a neck humbucker.

A surf green FSR bullet with locking Gotoh tuners and six brass saddles added and a surf green maple neck partscaster.

Only recently got the last two, I think 2019 will be the year of the telecaster for me.

    I have three:

    2015 Tim Rocco Rattlecaster
    2017 JW Van T-style
    2018 Squier CV50

I had a CV50 9 years ago that was a joy, sold it a couple years ago and have been whining ever since. Broke down and got one for my “Merry Christmas to me!” gift. 8 lbs 3 oz, pretty light. I wouldn’t mind getting a chunkier neck for it, but I don’t want to add any more weight.

Three with one more on the way:

    2006 American Series Ash Tele
    2011 MIM Cabronita
    2017 Whippersnapper Prospector

I'm also building a Partscaster with an ash body and Iron Gear pickups. It's gonna be a great guitar.

I've always owned just one. It all started with a very affordable but nice arctic white Squier Affinity Tele and then a few years later I got my candy apple red MIM Tele and sold the Squier. Now I'm considering trading in my MIM Tele for something else; another Tele, of course.

None, unless you count T types. When finances allow a real Tele will join the collection but until then there's my kit thinline, my Teisco/Playsound Japanese T type, and my recently completed burr walnut thinline which is being posted to a new owner this weekend.

One. Just bought my first Tele. Isn't even here yet. A MIM Standard in LPB/maple.

Also have a LP Studio 2016 and a Yamaha acoustic I bought new in 1978.

Now cameras... don't ask about Film Cameras. I've got about 200 of those. Still use them too. No digicrap for me! :D

A dozen or so - my favorite from a memorabilia perspective is the black '62 AVRI in the middle, signed by Tom Petty and Mudcrutch! Favorite player: '52 RI with Chambered Red Body, and '78 Thinline with Mahogany Body and...

Everytime this thread comes back to life, I find myself not current. I already updated it once, now I have to update the update. I technically own two, one is a regular part of my rotation, the other (the P90 Thinline Deluxe) lives in my closet and may become my travel guitar, or it may become sold. Not sure yet. But the one that's part of my regular rotation is a roadworn 50's, which is the first standard configuration tele I've ever fully and completely bonded with. I got an Epiphone 339 with P90s for my P90 axe, so the P90 tele is mostly out of a job, but this roadworn gets as much use as anything. I'll always say my strat is my #1 because I'm mostly a strat guy at heart, but I'm playing my three electrics pretty similar amounts lately - I really love all three of them, and this tele gets a LOT of use. I love the damn thing...

Ray, you will always loves Strats, as I will too.

But I wouldn't be surprised if, over time as I have, you transition to Teles taking the #1 spot for you.

Time will tell. You already have 2:1 Teles:Strat.
