Must be something about us Tele players that draws us towards these single pickup guitars.....Tons of gorgeous guitars here. Keep ‘em coming!

My hand-built Tele, made by the local mad scientist Patrick Gentile.

    One pickup, many tonal options.

This one is a test body but the single Firebird type pickup arrangement is a keeper.

The only one pickup guitar I've ever owned was a Gibson Firebird I in 1964 or so. I traded it after having it less than a year. Reading posts on this forum like the one above has made me want to try an Esquire though. I have a CV 50s with a Firebird pickup in the neck and it ain't going nowhere. So DANG, maybe I need to buy another CV 50s! I know, it's a sickness.

    LOL!!!

My CV50s with the Firebird pickup is actually a partscaster at this point. But the body is still CV50s, and it's currently my favorite guitar. Here's a picture to feed your addiction - Mwaa, Haa, Haa...

My wife, and more importantly, my bank account, hate you right now.

But sweet machine you've got there. Of course, if you had an esquire, you'd never play that one again....

Finally! Done (except for strap buttons). "Sassquire". Sassafras body, Fender licensed neck (10" radius, 21 fret), Mojotone QC "Broadcaster" pup, Eldred mod wiring, vintage tuners, bakelite PG. Built to look like an early '50's Esquire. No philips-head screws.

Does this mean I can join the "blackface" club too? :D
