This is just my fuzz’s
And my home made pedal board
I usually just use the bottom row
Around 40-45 I think. A little of everything, mostly boutique, some mainstream brands as well. I think i like the mainstream ones more these days..
They don't get all used at once. I only have about 4 to 6 on my board at a time. Plus, there's some redundancy in the circuits, for example when I bought a better version of a circuit I liked. For example, I have 4 Zen Drive clones and 3 Klones. I could/should probably sell some of them but I hate dealing with selling stuff online.
I've gone reasonably simple- Fulldrive 2 V2/ cheap analogue delay/ Zoom MG50(tuner, noise gate, tremolo, reverb), and that gets me through gigs doing rockabilly, old rock&roll ,country rock and surf.
I had a Cool Cat Chorus back in the 90's. In one way I do wish I had kept it but I did get a '93 MIM Duosonic in trade for it and a DOD Mystic Blues.
A lot, though many are DIY from commercial boards, strip/Veroboard and perfboard. There are 7 on my pedalboard, the rest in drawers, or on my workbench. Many of the commercial pedals I have are boosts or overdrives since there's so many different circuits and I hadda try em all ;-)
I currently have 10, 3 of which are rarely if ever used. I only keep 4 or 5 on my pedal board at any one time. I saw them out depending on what I’m playing.
At times I’ve had many more but that’s in the past. I only have 5 pedals that I wouldn’t part with. The rest are replaceable.
I doubt my total number will change plus or minus 1 or 2.
Well, it kinda snuck up on me....

Something like 15. Before the gargoyles arrived, I was doing a regular weekly and a few others. I have a small board with room for 5 or 6, including a tuner. Play a fairly wide array of tunes, so I like pedals.
I rotate a few on or off the working board from time to time, just because.
Here’s where it is at the moment:
I’ve got 4 amps in the mix, so depending on which amp goes to a gig, I might shuffle a few things around, just for my own amusement.
But...I'm a collector.
11, I think.
I’ve built all but 3.
I rarely use more than one (delay or reverb) when playing into an amp.
I use about 3 at the time when playing “straight into the desk” or through a clean booster into headphones.
I have a Kingsley Jester Overdrive/Boost that I used a little when I use to play out. Think I'll just try and sell this since I haven't used it in 6 or 7 years. Mainly just acoustic instruments now.
Hmmm...too many or not enough...
Hahaa! Found my Soundtank TS-5 and "Green Orc" Fuzz Face.
This is gonna be fun... or not
Tuner, compressor, two drives, slap delay. I have three more than I don't use all that much.
I think maybe, maybe, I'll pick up another drive to mix it up, but that's about it.
I think a nice round 5 is a good target to keep around.
I have a problem, I'm NOT counting.
I'll have six pints of fuzz please, yes, all at once.
Just went and counted. The count has gone +2 since Covid-19 started. My excuse is I can have them show up on my doorstep safely but selling them requires a trip into the post office or UPS store...
11 on board:
EHX Op Amp Big Muff Pi
JHS Morning Glory v4
EHX Hum Debugger
TC Polytune 3
EHX Deluxe Memory Man 1100-TT
Amp Foot switch (channel)
Sitting in reserve:
2x TC Dittos
Beat Buddy Mini
MXR Phase 95
Too many really but I don't feel bad about having 11 on the board. Mostly just that I can never make up my mind and I'm sitting on extras. The ones I use the most are the RC-10r and the Polara. A lot of my indecision is trying to figure out a) what works with my Orange amp b) trying to get stuff that works with either channel. b) what do I actually like given I play all kinds of random music and don't really have my own sound yet.
Still have 99. Sold 29. Might sell a few more.
