How many neckties do you have?

I used to have dozens. Now I have 4. I also used to have several 3 piece suits, now have a couple of pairs of dress slacks and a couple of jackets.

Weddings, funerals, formal affairs.

Six or seven, maybe? I was an office roach for a long time, so probably had 40 or 50 once upon a time.

Sometime, maybe 90s? Casual Fridays became a thing and eventually, by the 2010s or so, most non-banking/law offices were ok with clean clothes every day, so it’s been awhile.

The few I kept were gifts or family history stuff. I have a few bolo ties, as a bolo tie with a silver thunderbird (turquoise eye) was what I wore to Sunday school a million years ago.

Sold mine in a garage sale twenty odd years ago, so currently zero.

If I needed one, I'd have to go buy one. I didn't even wear one to my DWI hearings, although I did wear dress slacks and a collared shirt with a sport coat.

The outcome would have been the same, with or without a necktie.

28 regular ties, the kind you tie, and two bowties, both of which are clip-on. I haven't worn the bowties this century, but I wear a regular tie every Sunday. The hard part is buttoning my collar button. I'm just about to get too old for that part.

I think I once got a clip on tie for some sort of awards ceremony in high school, been about it for me. I still have some of my Dad's around should a tie emergency come up. I'd have to call Jeeves to come tie it, though.

I actually dressed ( maybe 2010) like Angus for a Halloween party jam- just because a friend lent me his SG!

I look nothing like Mr. Young-
I'm 6'5", 350+ lbs., have a goatee/mustache....but I do dig all kinds of R&R
I did not tell my wife about this until the night of party- she came home from work, noticed I had shaved my face. She hated it-
I thought she was gonna leave me!
Fun party and she got over it soon enough, as beard came back

One is a "Jerry" (J. Garcia); very artsy and colorful.

One is of beautiful deep purples and reds of seashells and marine algaes, beautiful.

Considering how infrequently I wear them, these should cover me the rest of my days!
