Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, phish, phish, phish.:lol::lol:

Actually, I do think about stats here all the time. My ratio of likes to posts. Will @brookdalebill still be a "Tele Axpert" when he hits 100,000 posts? What is the most posts anyone has written in a single day (the limit is 2,880, unless it is a DST day with the extra hour)? What is the most likes anyone has gotten in a single day? What is my posts per day ratio (the old board used to show that)? Is there a likes limit to a single post? A reply limit? Who has the lowest posts per year for an active account? Who has the most? Who has the most posts in a single thread (I may already know that one - @Kirchensfan would be my guess). What is...

If I had access to the back end database, I would probably have a field day with this. And I agree with what you are probably thinking - none of this really matters.

Well, there are probably no true limits to a lot of that; relational database design and all that. But is there a board restricted limit to reduce lookup time and complexity when the program is building the client side HTML? Who decided on the limits? Why?

I cannot be the only analyst that dreams about this kind of irrelevant BS.

Never really ever thought about it, to be honest.

Or, for the TDPRI, I should say:

"Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. Unlike. Like. I will admit I'm sincerely flattered when someone clicks "Like" on a post or reply I make, but I don't really pay that much attention to the number of clicks, more to particular comments or discussions they receive. I'm far more interested in "conversations" and information from "you guys".....I can't BEGIN to quantify the knowledge I've received here. The "exchange" of ideas is "likes" enough for me. ;););)

+1 I periodically look at my post count and likes. In fact, I've had something in mind to post when I reach 5000. "Likes" tells me that others are seeing what I've posted and one or a few see some value in it. What really piques my interest is "Quotes". Those tell me about agreement or disagreement. They tell me if I've struck a nerve, raw or otherwise. I've gotten sympathy when a dog dies and folks to share my joy with when I brought a new one home. I was also quoted recently to point out an iPhone autocorrect error. Thank you @StrangerNY . My conversations are personal and private but they offer an outlet to exchange thread closing ideas. Replies have gotten me out of jams. Statistics are actually irrelevant to what I get in return for my time here.

Actually, I quoted you to stick up for my Danocaster! :D

Hope you're well, man. We should reconsider those porch jams we once talked about.

I posted the story of my almost-record deal over on The Gear Page. Last I looked it was near 100 likes.

Nothin' like a nice tale of woe, I guess. ;)

You're not the only one with wacky ideas like this. :D I don't find any online info about limits like this, other than a plugin to limit likes per day per user. One would think that much of these things would be variables and configurable, but this stuff may not be enough of an issue for the developers to mess with. Yet. There is some resource management that can be configured for search, downloads, etc.

I can't really say about this software, but in so many cases it's just the limits of the DB. MySQL out of space? It's that damned @unixfish and too many likes!!!
