I ate a can of SPAM cooked over the tubes in my Marshall. Very British tasting, much better than 6v6 ¨american¨ style SPAM.

OK, but here's the REAL question... Who here saves and washes those aluminum leftover pans for future control cavity shielding jobs? Better than regular aluminum foil, I'd reckon...

got the combo of that for £50 a few yrs ago...stonking amp...puts many tube amps to shame....but those transistors...big as they are are no good for cooking on
a fender twin can incinerate a rabbit half a mile away in 2 mins...(if rabbit daft enough to stay still if not roadkill)
we used to hunt pheasants with a big red ford transit van...for some reason the would run in front of it...clonk with bumper...stop and pickup pheasant...one was flapping away to the cries and lament of daughter...8 at time,,,"dad..its still alive this one.."
"well neck it then before it lands on me as im driving"..."oh..ok dad"...crunch...
we ate well that eve...for we had six and ten fine plump birds to eat...not all at once though

The expiration date doesn't matter up in here. You chappers in England have weak stomachs. I eat SPAM cooked over Vox El34´s breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I tried doing that once, but I couldn't get it to stay lit. (Ba-dum tissss...)

This year, a feast for two from an Indian restaurant on Wednesday afternoon.

Tandoori skewer chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, aloo gobi, palak paneer, and dal. Plus naan & rice, then kheer for dessert.

It was very tasty indeed. And enough was left over for a nice dinner on Friday.

    Yep. @burntfrijoles gets it.

Too many 'Murican holidays seem to be about gluttony of food or alcohol. The meaning for the gathering gets lost.

Hence the non-traditional meal - we celebrate the reason for the day with a meal, not celebrate the meal.

We had ribs, coleslaw, baked beans, and tamales. Pumpkin and apple pies for desert. Yum! Then we finished the afternoon playing Cards Against Humanity. A good time had by all!
