I did... A teachers aid once asked now many of us ate breakfast, I raised my hand and she asked what I ate... peanut butter and syrup, she was appalled, until several other students spoke up and said that they ate it too...

So, how many here have consumed this wonderful concoction?

nope, but I would eat cornbread in milk at school and freak everyone out, which is strange because I've since found it is a Southern staple food, beloved by Elvis, among many others. guess I was farther back on the culture scale or something.

Certainly have, many times. But my fave strange PB combo is with marmalade. Just awesome.

Peanut butter and honey sandwiches were a staple for me. Never tried the syrup thing yet.

Wow - that sounds good .

We were poor - as were our neighbors, and all of us remember eating premixed spackle and yard clippings.

    Filled you up but sheesh...

I remember more than once someone saying “I bet those Texas kids are eating peanut butter and molasses right now !”
(no way we could even dream you’d have syrup !)

o_O Uh, no. Peanut butter, yes. Syrup on pancakes or waffles, yes. The combination of the two would be sugar overload for me, even as a kid.
