If you can still see your home's floor and park the car in the garage.
    You need more amps.

Why is this even a question? :)

If I tried to count the ones I actually use at home I'd miss some and be wrong.

    That's just about not enough.:D

Some of the big 'uns live under the workbench out in the garage.

    I'm chasing after a @bparnell57 replica PS400.

One of the late Berry Oakley's bass cabinets is out there. @bparnell57 got it with Berry's old PS400.

Those things will eat SVTs for lunch and use their bones for toothpicks.

    :D :D :D

Like, if I turn 'em all up at once you'll hear 'em at your place.

I'm gonna make every corpse between here and Fitchburg sit up in their graves for Halloween.

    :D :D :D

One big ol' Uncle Ted replica open "A" chord through the full backline should do it.

    :) :) :)

Ha! Great question ;) I have nearly as many amps as I have guitars.... it's a sickness I think because I can only play one at a time LOL!!!! Just landed a 1935 Gibson EH-150 amp for cheap $, (like I need another amp)... but... I couldn't pass it up. Collecting guitars and amps, and playing guitars and amps, go hand in hand for most of us players I think. So... enjoy your new amp! You'll likely have another one in the collection soon after ;) Of course, you'll need a guitar to go with it... ;)

At my house three (although I currently have four), one for electric, one for acoustic and vocals, a battery-powered one for the trailer.

I am very proud to have resisted amplifier GAS as much as I have. I can see how a person might go wild there.

My count is 8. I really need to sell some of them.

I only need two - a guitar and and a bass amp, but I have 6. I could probably sell a few, but not until I decide to downsize my home.

That's how I caused the Big Blackout of 1977 "A" chord, full on through a Marshall Major, and Womp out go the lights. And it was uphill both ways getting home too.

I'm boring....I use a Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 25th Anniversary for rehearsal and gigs and a Hughes & Kettner Edition Tube 20th Anniversary back home.
I also have an old Peavey Express solidstate and a Laney TT20 but I rarely use them.

Answer- all of them. I've picked amps for my collection that have unique tones. Like my guitars, each one offers some inspiration to play different styles and creative modes.

At least thats what i tell myself when I'm GAS'ing for a new amp.[IMG]

I reached about a dozen. I rolled back some. I think I’m at 6-7-ish these days.

The tinnitus is pretty loud as I quietly type this. Try and be smart about your noise levels at home.

At home? I need none. I practice through iRig/iPad/headphones.

5 seems like a good number.
And I have 5 guitars, so there's a strong good balance there. Sounds perfect.

    Nope.
Due to pedal boards and fx loop, i somtimes use a ridiculously disproportionate ratio of 4 cables to an amp. Sometimes even 6 as my Orange RV50 needs separate cables to switch the reverb and the channel too.

    However, rest assured, I have 5 straps - 1/guitar.

    5 straps :)
    5 guitars :)
    5 amps :)

Too many cables. (I refuse to count the cables on my pedal board. Or my pedals.)

Is the answer, “all of them”?
