I kinda left myself wide open for that
We’ve all done it, just joking.
It's an electric guitar.
What’s your point?
The loudness of my tele surprised me, because it is an electric guitar. I thought I made that clear.
If on the other hand and your punctuation is incorrect and you are asking “is it an electric guitar?”
The answer is: yes. A Fender telecaster is an electric guitar.
At least your "fairy new Mod Shop telecaster is very loud acrostically"...
I don't know, but I can't hear them right now through the door of the room they're currently inhabiting. That's good enough for me.
Vintage style bridge on yours?
I was surprised to hear the unplugged volume difference on the same guitar when comparing a modern style bridge vs a vintage style. I prefer the feel of a modern bridge but it's hard to give up that volume/resonance when I mostly play unplugged on the couch.
Interesting to see this thread, I’ve been thinking of asking something similar. I have a CV Tele, super light with pine body, I couldn’t believe how loud this thing is unplugged. It’s got this hollow, resonant thing going on, I half wondered if it had been hollowed out under the pickguard at first. I used to have a 335 style guitar and this Tele is louder unplugged. Is that true of all Teles or is it the light pine body that’s causing it?
It's not true of all Teles. I'd say it's in part the pine body & part the vintage style bridge.
Mine has three compensated brass barrel saddles. I think that’s the vintage style. That’s what you get when you choose the custom shop 51 nocaster pickups. It also has a roasted maple neck, but I don’t know if that helps make it louder.
My telecaster is a lot louder than my Martin Stinger (Stratocaster copy).
It’s so loud it’s magical. Damn autocorrects. Yeah that’s it. That or I can’t spelle.
I'm sure there are many factors at play but I know first hand from swapping bridges myself on my Tele that the vintage style (like yours) makes a big difference when it comes to volume.
Same with mine. I was playing it tonight and was amazed at how loud it was acoustically.
I believe the main factor is that it was made by fairies ♀️
I saw them with my own two eyes!
My Teles are probably louder than my LP's acoustically, but this one is acoustically louder than all of my other guitars.
