Here's my current pedal lineup. Today is 3/19/2018. The question is...how long do you think I can last before I swap a pedal out for something else? Care to hazard a guess? (I'm hoping by making this public I can somehow summon the will power to Leave It Alone!)
    Happy Tone Hunting,

You wont be able to leave it alone mate... doesnt have to be pedals.
You will get an idea, a thought... that will grow into an itch. You have to scratch.

Good luck with that ”im not going to change anything on my board” naive thinking :D

If its any comfort... its ok to change something after the ”now im finaly happy with my board” honeymoon. Its ok, we all are here, holding your hand.

@RetroTeleRod - that board covers a lot of territory. And most of what I see on there I think you have concluded are your favorites. Though it leaves your avatar in question. If you swap one of the ODs out when you use your AC15, because the Hotcake works better with your AC15, I won't hold it against you.

My point is, maybe you are now ready for the "I will only change something if it truly solves an actual problem" philosophy.

You are well-familiar with my tortured "I'm done" thread:http://www.tdpri.com/threads/r-i-p-dirt-g-a-s.480890/

In my case, I don't think I can get any more minimal so I think I really am done. Look how long that took . . .

The Hot Cake is currently residing on my "travel board" because it works so well with my Blues Junior. My big board is set up to work well with my Hot Rod Deluxe. I guess it is time to swap...my avatar!

I can't imagine you leaving that board as-is for very long. Probably not legal to start a betting pool.;)

On that note, I have been on a simplification run of my own gear. Just when I thought my main board was done, I am going to eliminate even more pedals and literally cut my board down considerably. From 14 to the present 10 and about to get down to 8 like yours. You must be a good influence on me RetroTeleRod. Maybe I have finally found myself along the spectrum of tonality.:lol:

You have a tall pedal (Open Road) in front of a shorter pedal (Rat).... how could you...?

Come to think of it, don't you have too many buffered pedals in that chain?;)

WARNING: This comment, by design, could start an epic derail.

Actually the highest part of the Open Road is level with the Rat. It's all good!

Probably. But I'm more troubled by the lack of Aqua. :D

Then Retro says to me..."I'm gonna leave that board alone."

I'm surprised that no one has busted me for having a comp on board. I feel like I've gotten away with something.

    And the answer is...
Yep, last night I swapped out the compressor for my TS-9. I tried to make the comp work but it wasn't cutting it. I'm also planning on pulling the Jet Driver, since three dirt pedals will give enough variety. Hoping to put the Carbon Copy on board, then I can set it for slapback and use my DD-3 for longer echoes.
    It...never...ends.
