I have not been a fan of the BD-2 - never did it for me...however.... I found a used BD-2w today at a good price in great shape, and I figured - "I should not pass that up, and give it a shot"

Given that I recently switched amps, I want to give this pedal a shot again and see how it does...

    So, how do you use/set your BD-2 / BD-2w ?

I set it on a shelf out of the way. Got it cheap but have not bonded with it yet...waiting for a amp that it might work well with.

I liked my Keely modded BD-2 some with a Vox amp for mild crunchy rhythm, mainly because it doesn't exaggerate the already present midrange.

I use my BD-2 for pretty much everything. First in my chain when playing live. I pair it with a strat and a Blues Jr:)

I also use it on synth sometimes. Works fab!

Through my Ethos rig the BD-2 is unicorns and rainbows. Plugged into my recently acquired ‘68 CDR Deluxe, I hear the rizzy high end thing people complain about. The BD-2 is one of the best ODs out there through the right amp. I read that some of the modded pedals were to run through a scooped Fender, I may look into one of those.
Use it in front of other drives as a boost or by itself for light OD.

I’ve had it as an always on before. Gain and tone around 10:00, never higher than that or it sounds terrible in my opinion. But at that setting I really dig it. I keep going back to the BD-2 actually. Sounded perfect with my Delta Blues 210.

I have the Angry Driver but I use the blues driver side of the pedal for blues soloing and rock rhythm.

Sounds great through my Peavey Classic 30 JD30-T amp.

Me too, same settings, same amp. I especially like what the BD does for my neck pickup.

I've had a Monte Allums modded BD-2 on my board for many, many years. I've played it through a dozen or so amps over the years and sounds great with all of them. I keep the gain around 10:00 for more of a boost for my other dirt pedals.
