How do you tag your guitar cases?

Hard shell cases are not really a problem, on the few multiple look alike cases I put a piece of masking tape near the handle and wrote something to ID the guitar with a Sharpie.
I now have 5 or 6 Fender gig bags and I'd like to tag them somehow so I don't have to open each one to see which guitar is in the bag. Any suggestions?
I went to Staples the other day but didn't see anything I thought would work.
    Thanks.

Thanks, for some reason I didn't think of luggage tags. I'll try some and figure a way that I can tell just by looking at the bag what is in it without having to read small text.

I use laminated badges. One side of the tag has detailed information (they easily hold ten lines), and the other side has a large print short version. they're durable, and best of all cheap!

    Two thoughts:

    (1) If you can't remember what guitar is in a case you have too many guitars!

    (2) It's kind of exciting to open a case an being surprised what's in there!

    I'm guilty on both counts.

Luggage tags generally have somewhere to insert a paper with name address, etc. How about printing a photo of the guitar and putting it in there?

    Thanks for all the replies!
Like I said, the hard cases are no problem, a little masking tape and a sharpie takes care of that. I have 6 gig bags that I need to identify the contents without a long search or opening each one. Most are teles, so I have to open further to see the color of the body!
I ordered some luggage tags so I should be good to go in a few day!
    thanks again!!

Those would be perfect except I don't need 125 of them for $120!!

The local FedEx Office store has laminating stuff there. You can make the tag, and attach the hanger for $1-2 each. in Word, create a large font name, or descriptor for each. Cut them out with scissors, and take them to the store for laminating.

You can "laminate" things yourself with clear Contact Paper.

Colored zip tie on the handle.

You can buy a pack of multi colored zip ties at a hardware store for 3 bucks.

I have several acoustic and electric cases are the same. They have a small red or blue or green or yellow zip tie around the handle. I can look at 4 identical cases and know what guitar is in what case. Color coded handles.

I sometimes use a similar method of tying different colored bandannas around the handle.
