Surprised so many people use hangers. I was always scared of my guitar falling. Case for me, with the current favorites in the rack and on the stand.

If it has a case, it is in the case. In case of no case, it gets leaned in a corner.

Once I get my hanging system up, they'll all hang by their necks...and I'll have to find a spot in the attic for all those damned cases (and put 3X5 cards in them to ID which instrument goes where).

    Until then...

If a guitar is in a case in the basement it’s probably on the way out the door. I love my guitars. I like to look at them. Never had a problem.

Both on the wall and in cases. Why?

I have more guitars than hangers so 5 are on hangers and the others wait in their cases for their turn on the wall.

Here's about half of them. The rest are on a similar rack upstairs in a spare bedroom. There's also usually one on each side of my recliner for unplugged noodling purpose. Also sometimes a couple leaning by the gas fireplace.

My Les Paul and Martin I keep in their fancy cases with a humidifier for the Martin. My Telecaster I keep out on the front lawn leaning against a tree in all weather conditions because it's indestructible.

OMG! Boy, I would love to have a collection of guitars like that!

And, FWIW, I usually put mine back on their stands since I'm just a bedroom player now (2017 was the last time I played a gig. Had to quit shortly after due to health issues. This year hasn't been good health-wise either. I spent part of a weekend back in the early Summer months in the ER due to an infected foot. As a diabetic, that wasn't good. I came very close to losing said foot - my right one).

On the wall and on a rack. I got them to play and to look at and admire.

Looks like the beginning of a Fender version of the Cadillac Ranch.

A Hercules single stand is $45 and uses foam. A Fender A frame is $30. On Stage is $18. Seven of the cheapest is 1/2 the price of case stand, but takes up more room, may not be as finish-safe and are less stable.

To me the Fender seems reasonable and good relative value but we all set our own barometer there.

Roadrunner does one for 6 at $160, but that is one less guitar and by the photos they look like they slot closer together so fitting guitars with vibrato bars or that are wider may not be as easy as the Fender? https://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/road-runner-rrgs6-6-guitar-stand-case

I used to keep a couple on wall hangers when I had the room. But now I’m temporarily living in an apartment so I keep them in gig bags until I move permanently.
