All 37 of them hanging on the wall or on a stand. I rotate them and pretty much play them all regularly. I’ve only got one leg so dragging a case from a storage area or from a closet or under a bed is a pain, so out they stay.
Plus, they’re art and keep me going otherwise I probably wouldn’t be around.

In hard case, with the case standing on end.

Most of them on stands, a couple on wallhangers, none in cases - I like to look at them, when if I'm not playing them regularly. I will play each of them from time to time.

Voted "case or bag" as all my guitars have hard shell cases.
No wall space as my wife has stuff hanging all over the walls.
Have a 5 guitar stand for the solid bodies.
Have individual stands for hollow body or acoustics.
Winter time all are in their cases, also when the great-grandson comes to visit.
Mostly one guitar out at a time.
At the current time I have 23 guitars.

All are in hard shell cases, sitting vertically in closets monitored by motion sensors.

I've got all of my electric guitars on a stand where the biggest issue is dusting them off (a makeup brush works wonders for dusting under the strings on the peghead and getting into all of those nooks and crannies). I also have small, concert-sized, all-mahogany acoustic left out on a stand. My spruce-topped acoustics are generally stored in their cases where I worry less about the ravages of sudden wide humidity changes.

    Never considered the dusting conundrum.

    vertical in cases.

My fancy Yamaha 335 copy has a hdshell case that is almost air tight:

I bought a cheap padded soft case for it to keep in the room, and use the hdshell case when I take it outside the house.

Though I’d prefer to have them on wall hangers, they’re in their cases or bags (on on my bed) when not in use.
There’s not enough wall space in my bedroom.
    Bigger house, or fewer guitars.
    That’s it!
    Bigger house!

I usually keep an electric beater on a stand nearby (bass, too).

ALL of the good stuff is generally kept in hard shell cases.

I'll sometimes leave a $$$$ acoustic out over-night to soak up some fresh air.

Ya know they were trees, at one time...

Hard shell cases on all my expensive guitars and gig bags for all my builds. You don't need a hard shell case on every guitar you have in storage, just enough for protection from dust and moisture and dents and scratches.

I’ve stored mine on wall hangers for over 15 years with no problems. Just make sure they’re secure and have a good room humidifier.
