Let the numbers fall where they may.
In cases on a case rack. I do have one wall hanger, which currently holds cables.
Some are in cases. Some are on stands. Some are just leaning up against other gear.
In an undisclosed secure location...
Currently have a bunch on five unit racks, the rest are in their cases.
On the wall.
Space is at a premium. Plus, I like looking at guitars, not at cases.
I have 3 wall hangers, one floor stand, and 4 guitars. Last one played gets the stand...
I have 3 cases and one gig-bag, stored in a closet until needed.
Most of my guitars are on a stand, but a few are in their cases.
I know of a guy who really doesn't care much
I love those five unit racks.
Single stand in the kitchen, though, because, space
Cases mostly. One or two out at any point, usually my beater.
I really like the saving on floor space, don't know why I didn't get them sooner than I did. For years I had single stands strategically located all over the room.
BY his expression, it looks like he's the victim of some weird guitar-related curse.
I keep my guitars that are not out being played in cases in the basement. The temperature never gets too hot or cold and it’s less dry in the winter than upstairs. I’ve never had a problem with cracking, warping, finish deterioration, or anything else.
My guitar is on a wall hanger over my desk/recording goof-off station. Next to it on other wall hangers are my lap steel and two caseless basses I’ve acquired.
My main bass lives in a gig bag right now, hanging on an unused coat rack peg by my office space door, so it’s ready to go to band practice whenever that happens...and also to influence me to work on the two caseless basses sooner.
One on the wall, the rest in stands, except my nicer acoustic which often in its case in the closet.
This may not be the group to say this to, but in my experience guitars in cases don’t get played. I can’t tell you how many people have told me they “used” to play guitar, and when asked if they still have it, they say, “Yes, in a case”. I recommend they spend $10 on a guitar stand and put it next to where they usually sit, and they’ll pick it right back up.
Guitars all in cases. I used to keep some on a 7 guitar stand, but not played much the last year so they are wrapped up safe.
I have one guitar to hand in a soft case which I play when I have the urge.
