I’m just now dipping my toes into this world after 40+ years of guitar-pedals-amp… played my first gig with the PodGo last weekend, plugged straight into my blues jr, and it worked fairly well. At the horn band rehearsal, podgo was plugged into a zoom live track 20 and fed back into my own monitor (a little mackie 150)-not inspiring tone, but it did work ok.
At home, I’ll plug the pod go into my Focusrite 18i20, which feeds my old Sherwood receiver and Tannoy pbm monitors, sounds fine to me. I don’t use IEMs as I can’t stand anything inside my ears, and I only use headphones while recording-practicing at home usually means playing unplugged or with an acoustic.
I’ve been looking at the headrush 108 for the horn band, as I prefer my guitar sound coming from its own speaker. Size is a big consideration seeing as we’re squeezing 10 people in a space usually only big enough for 4-5 pieces. Certainly open to other ideas on this front, though the blues jr is doing a fine job in the meantime. I’d love a henrickson but a bit pricey to say the least…
