How do we feel about 1991 American Standard Teles?

    only complaint is the ones I have had around that year are really bright but if I kept the tone control really rolled back they are great- I love the yellowed color of the one you are showing there..I had a 93 tele and a 95...95 have known neck finish cracking issues but that 91 should be good to go

    Bought my 1990 Am Standard Tele from the original owner in 1992. 100 percent stock. I even have the hang tag, owners manual, strap, case and original receipt. Still has the TBX tone control, which I actually like. Original owner paid $585 for it, think I paid about the same. Many Teles has passed through my hands since. Re-issues, American this, that and the other. None have compared to this guitar for some reason. I've though about picking up another one but the prices of American Standards for have skyrocketed. I can see why, they are great guitars.

    My '88 (profile pic, bone stock, bought new in '89) has never let me down, and had been my number one since day one.
