The CD burner on my old computer died. So, I was just wondering if there is a way to transfer CD music to an IPhone.

I recorded most of the songs that I wrote from cassette tape to CD, which was difficult, but I thought that I diid a decent transferral.

Now the problem is getting the media to my phone, or some other medium, that I don’t have to play the CDs anymore.

Can't you just rip the CDs into your laptop, either as mp3 or wav files?

What kind of computer do you have or do you just have your iPhone?

Basically, you'll need to rip the songs that are on the CDs into MP3s or another supported file format and copy them onto the phone. You may want to put them in cloud storage, like Dropbox, in order to share them between devices.

I don't know how to do it. I get all my music on the computer from watching YouTube videos.
I would search for a teenage kid or millennial that was willing to do it for you.

Rip songs? you mean like play really fast lead over them?:)

That must also be your definition for burning CDs. :)

If you want to transfer data/music from an existing CD to another device you'll need a working CD player/burner of some sort to extract the data/music from that CD; either an external drive as Wyzsard suggests or another PC or Laptop with a CD burner in it. Copy the data/music from the disc to a file format (WAV, Losless, etc.) on the computer/laptop using burning software. If you want to put it on an Apple device then you can use Itunes to copy it and then transfer it to your Iphone.

I've been tempted a few times but I've never burnt a cd.

FYI, there's a variety of YouTube videos that will do a step by step on the process.

That’s it Wyz!! Thanks! Now why didn’t I think of that?

My Apple Pro Book is so ancient that I just use it now to store files and pics. I hope I can find an external burner that will be compatible.
