I came across that and was pretty impressed.

When I search for a MiM one, I can't find anything. I find stuff that has different names but don't know where or how to search for one.

Wouldy'alll help me? I am working on an album.

    Made in Mexico.

Look for the "Player" series, which recently replaced the "Standard" series.

Pretty much any more affordable fender telecaster will be made in Mexico the player series is a nice place to start and are around $600 , if you go on any music retail website most of the telecasters under 1000 dollars will be Mexican made and they come in many different models and configurations

They will say made in Mexico under the tuners on the back of the headstock

Any new tele that says "Fender" on the headstock and under about $1000 is most likely an MIM. Otherwise you will need to look at the serial number on the headstock (front or rear depending on year) and it will start with an "MX". Experts here will chime in to add or subtract corrections to that.

If you wanna find a MIM tele, just swing a cat around in a guitar store and you’ll hit one.

You are new to Teles, aren't you? :)

A cat wouldn't damage a Tele even if you fired it from a cannon.

    Yes. *hangs head*

I told myself I'd never own a Fender guitar, most especially a Strat and then a Tele.

I have been looking for a guitar to track on the other channel instead of using my Ibanez Iron Label RG on both channels and then changing the amp settings around.

This may be a while away since it's ~$600. I thought they'd be around $150 or so.

You can find MiM standards for about $300 give or take. Though, I will say that if you keep your eyes open, you can get some great deals on Player Series guitars, which I find far superior personally. I snagged a brand new Player strat for $400 + shipping a few months ago.

I played a basic MiM Tele in a band that was similar to Napalm Death and Godflesh and it had no problem at all in stock format.
The Telecaster is probably the most versatile guitar around.

Look around used and you may find one in the 300 dollar zone.

That's what I heard. It's the swiss army knife of guitars.

Find an MIM Deluxe Nashville. Then you'll have the "Swiss Army Knife" of guitars.;)
